Why Almond Butter?

My first post – how exciting.  I’m not really sure what direction this blog will take, but I’m looking forward to having an outlet for my thoughts and ideas.  Maybe people will read them, and maybe they won’t.  Either way, I’m happy to finally enter the blogging world.

So, some of you may be curious about the name of my blog.  Several different titles competed against one another, but in the end, I chose Heather Eats Almond Butter.  It was difficult to find a short phrase that would convey all the topics I want to cover.  I hope to share about my weight loss and encourage others with health tips that have helped me.  I love discussing fitness and learning about different workouts, but I also wanted a forum for my thoughts…and struggles with food, as well as a place to include some of my favorite recipes.  Almond butter is one of my favorite foods in the whole world, and I eat it everyday.  It was my companion throughout my weight loss and has stayed with me as I maintain a healthy weight.  Losing weight does not mean giving up your favorite foods, especially ones loaded with good fats.  Yes, I eat fat, and I enjoy every spoonful!

So, I hope what I have to say will be of some encouragement to someone out there.  Thanks for joining me on this journey!
