Yoga Giveaway

by HEAB on June 16, 2009

Hey HEABers! ย Want to see another strange meal I ate? ย Of course you do. ๐Ÿ™‚

Cauli Couscous

Cauli Couscous

What does one do with 1/2 head of leftover steamed cauliflower? ย Why, you pulse it in your food processor to make couscous, serve it on a bed of wilted spinach, and top it with random items like red bell pepper, raisins, and Justin’s Honey Almond Butter. Duh.

Who would like to win a free one year Elite Membership from YogaDownload that will allow for unlimited access to their entire library of classes? Um, I do. However, I’ll let one of you guys win instead. ย All you have to do is click here to visit, and tell me which class you’d most like to try in the comment field below. ย The contest will end tomorrow night, Wednesday, June 17, at midnight, and I’ll announce the random winner on Thursday.

Now, y’all know my favorite online yoga is courtesy of Polly, and I cannot wait for her DVD!!!! ย Have you ordered your copy yet? ย If not, you can do so by clicking here. ย Besides my Polly yoga, I love the classes over at YogaDownload. ย They offer a wide variety, and they are now in the process of adding slide shows to all of their classes. ย So, rather than referring to a separate pose guide, you can see pictures of the poses on your screen. ย Still weary of trying online yoga? ย Well, all of their 20 minute classes are free, and through June 30,ย all other classes are 50% off with the coupon code HEAB. ย Plus, once you download the classes onto your computer, you can take them anywhere, and you’ll always have them. ย Going on vacation soon? Simply download a class or two onto your iPodย or MP3 player. Brilliant, no? ย So, first order yourย Polly DVD here and then click here to start downloading from YogaDownload. ย Hurry so that we can practice Tree Pose together. ๐Ÿ™‚

Love the Tree!

Love the Tree!

Huge fan of yogadownload and would LOVE a membership! My “go to” class is the metta/donation class Dawnelle did. It’s got meditations I constantly need to go back to. But right now on my “want to try” list at the top is the fusion yoga class!

Chrysanthe June 16, 2009 at 2:55 pm

I just want to let you know that I love your blog! It’s seriously such an inspiration for me. I’m still more restrictive on eating fats than I probably should be, but you’ve made me realize that I shouldn’t be so afraid to eat healthy fats!

I also think that I might have the same problem with fruit as you do (I’ve been reading earlier posts since I’m a fairly new reader) so I’m trying to limit fruits to see if that helps me too ๐Ÿ˜€

Anyways, I love YogaDownload (I subscribe to their 20 minute routines via their Podcast) so I think, based on my previous experience, I think I would like to take Power Yoga the most.

Thanks so much!

AnAppleADay June 16, 2009 at 2:53 pm

I’ll be over for some tomato miracle whip sandwiches later, okay?

Also, your food creations are worthy of a COOKBOOK! You totally need to write one, honey!! I would be first in line to buy it and the one sitting by you as you signed copies of it dipping up bowls of various colored oats and nut butters. I would wear my little hair net and do some eagle arms when my shoulders got sore. ๐Ÿ˜€

LOVE you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alice June 16, 2009 at 1:45 pm

Hi Heather! I also am a fan of power yoga so I’d like to try the Power Vinyasa Flow class! ๐Ÿ™‚

Melanie June 16, 2009 at 1:44 pm

Hmmm. I have a half of a cauliflower left in my fridge and I”ve been trying to decide what to do with it – maybe I might have to try some Cauli Couscous!! Looks yum – just not sure about the almond butter with it, lol! Course my tummy is feeling a little off today – maybe that is why it’s not sounding good.

Sarah (from See Sarah Eat) June 16, 2009 at 12:29 pm

I love yoga download! I have done a lot of their 20 min free classes and I’m hooked. I think I would most like to try some of the longer-length classes in the vinyasa flow category. I did the heart opening flow and hip opening and those two have been my favorite so far.

HelpMeghanRun June 16, 2009 at 12:28 pm

I LOVE yoga download! I have the free 20-minute session of Detox Yoga #1 (it’s one of my faves) but I would love to try the 30- or 40-minute version.

Oops…steamed…you said that already.

Iris June 16, 2009 at 12:20 pm

Great giveaway! I’d love to try the ashtanga classes.

Maggie June 16, 2009 at 11:28 am

What a cool idea for “couscous”. I actually love *real* couscous. Whole wheat. Sometimes if I’m pissed at the cat I call him by his full name – Whole Wheat Couscous. Hehehe.

Raisins are one of those foods that I love, but then forget about for months at a time. In the beginning of my green oat bran phase I was adding them for sweetness but since then I’ve stopped and now I just do nut butter (mm). I think it’s time for a raisin comeback in my life.

I would love to try either the Forrest Yoga or any of the full length detox yogas. I’ve been into twists lately.

Happy Tuesday Heather!

beef June 16, 2009 at 11:26 am

mel June 16, 2009 at 11:05 am

I would honestly love to try ANY of them! I have two yoga dvd’s and do them alot…I’m so bored with them but can’t afford to take classes in a studio!! pick me!

Briana in Tucson (aka Trilby Drew) June 16, 2009 at 11:04 am

I. am. so. Excited!

I almost can’t decide, but I’ve heard you guys talk about the Vinyasa yoga so much that I think I want to try that.

I miss yoga. My mom used to take me to her yoga classes when I was a little kid and I LOVED IT. I was around 7 or 8 and I used to picture myself as each pose. I’m a tree! I’m a warrior! I had so much fun. I would love to get back to that. Think it’s still possible 20 years later? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Lauren A. June 16, 2009 at 11:03 am

yayy best giveaway ever!! I totally checked out the site and have trouble deciding which classes I’d like to try most but…i think it’s gotta be FOrrest Yoga.

“Forrest Yoga helps you connect to your core – getting strong and centered. It uses heat, deep breathing and vigorous sequences to sweat out toxins while the long holds in the pose progressions help you flush, oxygenate and rejuvenate every cell.”

YUP I definitely wanna practice deep breathing and sweat out toxins!! Sounds like such a Chinese Traditional Medicine way of healing!!

I would love to try the ashtanga classes!

Kimberly June 16, 2009 at 10:41 am

I would like to try any of them! I am new to yoga so I guess either a beginner class or the abs/core strengthening would be great for me:) I don’t really know the difference in all the types of yoga.

Your meal looks good and interesting:)I always to love to see what you’ll come up with next.

Check out special post on my blog today if you can:)

Wow, how awesome! I’d like to do a series of hip openers. My hips tend to be my tightest area and could use a little help.

amy (veganissexy) June 16, 2009 at 10:17 am

HEAB you are a yoga goddess ๐Ÿ˜‰ BTW, I’ve been so inspired by all you fit yoga bending/posing bloggers that I’m now taking a once a week yoga class at my gym. It’s no fancy studio, but it’s an hour long “get amy out of her cardio/weights box” experiment ๐Ÿ™‚

Rose June 16, 2009 at 10:14 am

Great contest! I’m interested in learning more about Forrest Yoga. I just noticed it for the first time now.
