Over The Meadow And Through The Woods

by HEAB on August 7, 2009

Hello my almond butter loving friends. If you're new to HEAB, you may like to subscribe to my RSS feed or receive my posts via email. Thanks for reading!

What a lovely walk we had this morning!  For those of you who could not join me, no worries…I took pictures. ;)

Out the door and into the woods.

Out the door and into the woods.

Through the meadow.

Through the meadow.

Look, there's Pike's Peak.

Look, there's Pike's Peak.

2.25 miles to the big rock...time to turn around.

2.25 miles to the big rock...time to turn around.

4.5 miles done. Time for breakfast.

4.5 miles done. Back at the yurt and time for breakfast.

Thanks once again for joining me on my morning walk.  Too bad you couldn’t stay for breakfast…1/2 heaping cup rolled oats cooked with water and then mixed with 1 scoop Sun Warrior chocolate rice protein, 1/2 chopped frozen banana, and a huge blob of peanut butter.  Rolled oats?  Yeah, they’re making a comeback in my life. However, nothing fills me up more than my beloved oat bran.

Oh it’s beautiful! The “meadow” reminds me of the opening to Little House on the Prarie.

Mmm Frozen banana chunks into a bowl of rolled oats – That’s my kind of breakfast!

Even more than the delicious bowl though, I LOVE that you shared the morning walk with us. What gorgeous scenery! Now if only you could include the brisk morning breeze and feeling of morning sunlight on the face via your posts then it would be completely perfect.

Incredible views!

WOah, almost what i had this morning, oatmeal/PB/mashed bannana, however i just had to have those ice cream sandwitches.. ahem.

Is the sock hat a fashion statement or is it cold?

Bring back some good weather, 95, hot, and humid tommorrow in nashville!

Cheers! J

I love the yurt. Actually, I love saying it over and over in my head – so fun. :-)

Had oat bran this morning and thought of you! Just can’t get enough OB in my life.

Enjoy your weekend, Heather!

One word–jealous. Of the scenery or your breakfast? I’m thinking both. Oh well, at least I can make the breakfast in the AM and watch the crazy chipmunk in my garden.

Have so much fun!
