Yesterday, I used the Wii Fit in our yurt. The first time I Wii’d the following happened:
- I learned I cannot hula-hoop to save my life.
- My push-ups are only Couch Potato worthy.
- I discovered my kick ass talent for running in place.
- I was so sore that I could barely walk the dogs the next day.
Didn’t do any more Wii for 10 days…until yesterday. It’s almost creepy how much that machine remembers about you, but it’s a great workout. I improved all my scores, and I’m not nearly as sore today. Anyone else out there Wii? I know Deb is a fan. Oh CD…I think I have another investment idea for us. 😉
Afterwards, I made a smoothie WITH a banana. No berries included.
Oh my gosh, this bowl was so filling and surprisingly delicious. The mix included:
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 head romaine lettuce
- 3 cups water
- 1 packet stevia
- 2 TBSP chia seeds soaked in the water for 15 minutes
- 1/2 tsp. guar gum
- 1/4 tsp. xanthan gum
- 4 – 5 ice cubes
Try the banana/romaine combo. So light and refreshing. The gums made it really thick and creamy, not icy at all. For questions about the gums, I refer you to The Smoothie Girl, my gums pimp.
