[...] My second attempt was better, and since I think a lot of you will like this recipe, I am going to share it with you here. You see, one of the star flavors in this recipe is tahini. I like tahini in small quantities for sauces, salad dressings, and of course hummus. But for both Tony (DH) and myself, tahini is just too strong to be the star of the show. I think from now on I will leave those mega-tahini love recipes to HEAB. [...]

Brandi, Yoga is great for weight loss maintenance and staying in shape. In fact, it has saved me this past year, and I've grown to love my practice. I really recommend getting into a studio if you can just to learn correct form in the beginning. Otherwise, you risk injuring yourself. I never really enjoyed yoga much until I starting taking classes in a studio from a good teacher. However, I know your time is limited, and below are some at-home options. Hope this helps, and thanks for reading my blog. :) Love, Heather

   - Polly has some great videos on her *blog*– they are free, short, and she does the poses along with you. - *Here is a link to Sadie Nardini’s 4 part 30 minute power yoga serie**s *that Maggie posted. Love that one! Click *here * to view Maggie's other links to various yoga sites. She's got some good ones on there. - I’ve heard good things about *Yoga Today* , but I’ve never tried the site myself. They post new classes everyday, and I hear they are usually a more slow and gentle form of yoga. - - *Sara Ivahoe* * *DVD’s are great. Good instruction, especially for beginners.

Hi Heather! I've been reading your blog off and on over the past few months and love how you incorporate variety into your diet! I was an avid runner/weight lifter but recently started going back to school and have been running low on energy (keeping up with my hubby and son) and time (I can't find time to sleep more than 5 hours per night). As a result, my gym time has been reduced to once per week--I was interested in yoga becasue it may help alleviate some of my stress and still help me maintain my weight loss--I really don't want to have to diet all over again to maintain it. What is the best way to get started? I have tried one of the free downloads from yogadownload but since I am new, I am having trouble following the guide--any suggestions?

Thanks for reading Courtney. My hamstrings are super sore from my hot vinyasa class yesterday. Felt good to walk this morning...*not* run. :) Love, Heather

Hi Heather,
I have been reading your blog for quite some time now (by way of Fitnessista, by way of OhSheGlows!) I love all of your post because I can relate to your story in so many ways. I particularly loved today's post because I feel the same way about the "puffy" look I had before I started doing hot yoga. I am so in love with sweating it out for 90 minutes. I did a power yoga class yesterday, and the vinyasas left my arms so sore this morning! Keep up the great posts, you are a great inspiration!
