I mean really, that's a good time to finish in. If you don't run regularly, then sure, you shouldn't try and run 5 miles for the fun of it. Okay, people do, but I wouldn't. But a sprint workout sounds fine. My boss runs marathons and he said a good way to get through them is to run 5 miles, walk 2 min, so you get a regular "break" and you are only running approx. 5 short runs. So I tried that today.
