First Workout of The Month

My arms feel like Jell-O, and my burpees could use a lot of work. :)

This morning, I started my month of online personal training with Lindsey from Lean Bodies Health and Fitness. Yesterday, I wrote the workouts would last 45 minutes to an hour, but they are actually only 30 to 45 minutes. After warming up on our stationary bike for 5 minutes, I did some Hyperbolic Resistance Training with a Pulse Pyramid. It basically involved 5 different exercises (reverse lunges, burpees, jumping jacks, etc), each done for 30 seconds. For the first round, I did one exercise for 30 seconds and then rested for 30 seconds. Then, I added an exercise each round until all I was doing all 5 in a row with a rest period at the end of each round, and then I built back down. The entire pyramid took about 16 minutes, but it was intense! I then cooled down on the bike for 10 minutes and did some plank and side plank ab work. Total workout time was 38 minutes. Short and efficient, just like I prefer my workouts to be.

It was then time for breakfast. You know what’s better than oats in a waning nut butter jar?????


Oats in a waning ice-cream container! There was about one serving left, and I poured my cooked oat bran mixed with Jay Robb vanilla rice protein powder, cinnamon, and maca on top of the remaining ice-cream. So Delicious!
