I thought it was a really great film, but I realise it’s not for everyone. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Spader before, oddly.

People complain Highway’s a strange movie, it’s not really. It’s a guy’s road trip film, it’s fine but Jake is great in it, so funny. Good Girl is a good film. No problem!

Yes, I have seen the secretary, and although I wasn’t a big fan of the movie, I thought Maggie did an amazing job of acting. Love James Spader too – ever since Pretty In Pink. Never seen the Good Girl or Highway. Will add to my Netflix queue. Thanks!

Have you seen Maggie in Secretary? She’s brilliant. But I could watch her or Jake in pretty much anything – Jake’s great in The Good Girl and Highway as well. And damn, they both are gorgeous.

Coconut is like magic, no wait… coconut is like the Gyllenhaal siblings. If added to something, that something is the better for it. Coconut gelato is especially perfect.

I agree – love the Gyllenhals. Just watched Mona Lisa Smile, and I’d forgotten Maggie was in it – she’s so talented as is Jake. I’d also have to agree with you on recipes featuring coconut products. Never met one I didn’t like.

Donnie Darko is possibly my favourite movie – yes it might be a trifle unusual, but it’s not off the wall or anything. I find the general reaction to the movie to be far stranger than the movie itself.

To sum it up, any film featuring the Gyllenhaal siblings, a trippy sequence set to “Under the Milky Way” by the Church, a Halloween Harvey, an impending apocalypse, a random fat guy in a red tracksuit and a sacrificial suicide cannot be anything but fantastic.

Also, any recipe featuring coconut products cannot be anything but similarly marvellous.

Ohgosh. That close-up shot with the coconut peeking out is heaven. Coconut is becoming one of my fave sources for extra fat!

Donnie Darko is SO weird. I did not understand the ending at all. Although, I really enjoyed the soundtrack.

I forgot to mention that I made the coconut butter into 2 batches. The first batch turned the way it should. Then I decided to drop in a tsp of agave nectar, and it became thick!!!!!!
Then I blended and blended and still, became thick and sticky. Had to take that away from me and made the remaining batches that turned out perfect!!
