Today CD is taking me out to lunch for 2 reasons:
Reason #1: Because I am mom to these two precious pups…
Reason #2: Come November 18, I will be a mom to this little HEABlet…
Yep, CD and I are expecting and have officially made it through the first trimester, but more about that in tomorrow’s post. It’s so nice to finally share the news with all of you! 
My mom will also be joining us for lunch. Happy Mother’s Day Mama Mac. I love you.
Also, a special Mother’s Day shout-out to Alice, the best mother-in-law ever!

I had my first last November 5th. It’s a good time of year to deliver. But then, what time isn’t good, really?
As a healthy foodie, I was just overwhelmingly inspired by the whole process of creating and nourishing a new little life. I had some minor complications, but I never felt better or more proud. I hope you find the process as magical as I did. I can’t wait to do it again. Like NOW!

Congrats Heather and CD! My daughter was born 2 weeks ago and I can’t tell you what an amazing feeling it is! I could not be happier for you two! I’m excited to see how everything goes and is going! I stayed really active throughout my pregnancy and I felt great the whole time – the delivery was pretty easy too, which the doctor attributes to being active so I am sure you will have no problem!

Eatmovelove, Yes, we will find out the sex of the baby in about 2 months. So excited, and yes, our little one was planned.
I do some myofascial release as I’ve taken a couple of courses, but it’s not something I specialize in. However, I do incorporate some of it into most of my session – especially when working on the back and neck. To find a therapist near you, I would contact the nearest massage therapy school. I’m sure they could refer you to someone specializing in myofascial work.

Natalie, Oh my gosh, For the longest time I could look at nothing green either. Blech. Now I’m able to eat really cold romaine and chopped tomatoes, but that’s about it. CD is not even allowed to cook or eat Brussels sprouts within 100 feet of me, and I no broccoli has touched my lips since I got sick – around week 6. My main source of veggies has been tortilla chips and white potatoes.

How exciting!! On the being sick front, something that really worked for me with my third pregnancy was unflavored setlzer water. Fizz has always helped me with nausea, but the thought of something with flavor just made me want to gag and plain ol’ fizzy water really saved the day.
Allison, Yes, really cold sparkling water has helped so much. I love the plain and the lime flavored as well. Would be dehydrated without that stuff right now. Thanks!
