Today I am loving…
This gargantuan jar of ghee CD bought me at Costco.
I love eating it in…
a bowl of chopped sweet potato fried in ghee, canned wild salmon, and brewer’s yeast.
I still love my Baker’s unsweetened chocolate…
I tried the Dagoba 100%, but it simply doesn’t compare to the Baker’s stuff. For once, I like the cheaper brand. CD always jokes about my expensive tastes and likes to tell me that my tombstone will someday read, Here lies Heather. She never once looked at a price tag.

I love the shirt that say “Eat Your Veggies!” It has a ton of little vegetables on it.

I have never tried ghee – something new to put on my list of things to try! I love the shirts! I would order the ‘Addicted to Oatmeal’ shirt. I could eat oats with every meal. My husband teases me because my pantry is always stocked with oat bran, rolled oats, and steel cut oats. I always restock well before I get too low because I am afraid of what I would do if I ran out!
I would choose one that has my blog name on it!
Was the jam purposely placed in a heart shape, or was that just fortuitious?

I agree with Danielle! I love the shirt that read “eat your veggies”. I am telling that to my boyfriend all the time!
Even though I’m not a vegan, I think that the “original vegan” shirt with the brontosaurus on it is AMAZING. I also pretty much need to own every single one of the shirts that mentions bacon (“Bacon is Meat Candy”? So true. Also, did I mention how I’m obviously NOT vegan? Hahahaha.)
I love the one that says *I heart Lefse.* I’m Norwegian so this is perfect!

Ghee, sweet potatoes, and chocolate- some of my favorite foods, for sure! I know it’s wrong, but the “I love tube steak” shirt is amazing. When I saw that one, I started laughing, and almost sprayed my coffee all over my computer! I would just love to wear that shirt out in public, and note people’s reactions!
I’ve been eating broccoli every day for the last 4 years…I can’t get enough of it! Therefore, I’d love the broccoli shirts. Or any of the fruits or veggie ones for that matter! That’s an awesome website!

Wow, it’s hard to choose just one design! My top two would be “Bacon is meat candy” and “I’m here for the pie” (cause I so am!)
I tried the Ghirrardeli 100% unsweetened, which is twice the price of Baker’s…blech! I was so ready to like the “good stuff” better, but for once, the cheaper brand was so much better!

I love a great t shirt! I will definitely check this out. Tony and I considered doing t shirts. With his illustrations I think we would have fun doing it…we just need the space. We went to TN this weekend. It was beautiful yesterday, but sadly Tony was sick and we needed to just get home. I wish it was easy for us to decide to move there. CCK, Totally thought of you when I bought the Dagoba, and if I hadn’t already eaten half of it, I would send it to you, It’s good melted atop oats but pretty bitter on its own. Next I want to try Sunspire’s unsweetened as I hear it’s really good.
I thought Bakers was bitter! Well, I guess that’s why they make different brands– cause tastes are different! I’m on a hunt for the Sunspire too!

I’m torn between ‘Eat Your Veggies’ or making one dealing with Flexitarian. Just off the cuff, maybe something like, “Flexitarian: If it lived, I’ll eat it.”, “Runs on Sprouts”, “Flexatarian (with a picture of brussel sprouts, spinach, asparagus, and a cow running away), etc. I don’t know. I’d have to think on it for sure, but Wren would definitely be getting one.

Gina, ghee is clarified butter. It’s made by boiling regular butter and then skimming off all the milk proteins that settle at the bottom. I love it.

I have a teammate that, during 24+ hour races, always pulls out bacon in the middle of the night. I’ve been a veggie for 20 years so I’ve never partaken, but everyone else goes nuts for it. So, I think I’d make a custom shirt for Bruce that says, “Will Race for Bacon.”

Yep, straight up, but honestly, the only 100% chocolate I really like is the Baker’s. The more expensive ones are a little too bitter, even for me.

Ghee is clarified butter. Regular unsalted butter is boiled down until the milk proteins separate from the fat, and ghee is the leftover pure butter fat. I try to avoid dairy proteins as my body doesn’t tolerate them very well, and ghee has next to zero casein in it. I’ve also heard that all ghee is from pastured cows, but that could just be a rumor. It’s yummy – I love it. Perhaps I will write a post about it – good idea.
How utterly adorable! I can’t choose a favorite…. but I think my top two are: “Instant Human Just add Coffee” and “Wasabi, hurts so good”.
Ghee is so delish. Are you aware that we use Ghee a lot in Indian cooking? It’s like using Bacon fat, only a healthier version

Yes! I always associate ghee with Indian food, and I have a friend that practices Ayurvedic medicine and basically drinks ghee for breakfast every morning. She’s done it for years, and she has the most gorgeous skin. I seriously think it’s all the ghee!

Ghee tastes like unsalted melted butter – it’s nothing but the butter fat, and I find it less “sweet” than regular butter if that makes any sense.

Off the topic of ghee, but you said you eat oat bran every night before bed? How much do you eat of it (measurement wise)? Do you combine it with milk or water- what’s your cooking method?

I usually eat a 1/2 cup of oat bran cooked with 1 to 1.5 cups water. I’ll either eat with butter and cinnamon or mix it with rice protein powder and top with nut butter or chocolate. Eat it every night – swear by oat bran at night as it really helps me sleep.

I got up at 4:30am, did a clinical, went home and studied, had a tiny nap, went to a 10 hour work shift, and went straight to class after changing clothes like Superman in the staff bathroom. Now I’m sitting in the student center struggling to stay awake until my next class…. instant human, just add coffee! just about sums up my day.
