Hello my almond butter loving friends. If you're new to HEAB, you may like to subscribe to my RSS feed or receive my posts via email. Thanks for reading!
In-between trying to get the twins’ room ready, trying to rest whenever I can, and trying to eat every few hours (still hating food for the most part), I don’t really have much time to blog. So, in the meantime, be sure to check out Mama Pea’s recipe for Chocolate Almond Butter Cups…something I am definitely not hating!
Thanks for sending Mama Pea. They were a huge hit!

Lucky!
Sounds like things are kind of crazy for you right now too! Definitely take time to relax and enjoy those treats!
You should definitely rest and relax while you can! I can only imagine how full your hands must be – and will continue to be for a while.
I hope you get lots of rest! I was excited when I read that Mama Pea recipe- now I just need to get around to making it.
Hope you find some time to chill, busy mama!
Those almond butter cups blew me away when I saw them. I never thought about adding toppings. That MamaPea is brilliant.
Glad you got some treats in the mail. Sure beats getting bills
I was in love when I saw those! I need to make them when I get the time.
They looked better going in the bag, I promise.
That is so sweet of you, Mama Pea!!
Mama Pea, I thought they were so pretty and very delicious. Chris LOVED them and wants to make more.
Ahhhh those look amazing!
YUM is right! I have yet to make my own chocolate nut butter cups- and need to get on that. My stepdad is turning 60 next month, and is the biggest fan of chocolate+pb/ab/whatever nut butter that you will ever meet. This would be a great little sweet treat to take to him on his big day!
Lauren, I know your stepdad would love them, and they’re quite easy to make your own. Plus it’s fun experimenting with different flavored nut butters. Coconut butter makes a great filling!
Definitely relax while you can!
they are pink!? rest up heather! they are a coming
Melissa,
The pink color comes from the freeze dried raspberries on top. So pretty.
They’d be delicious with some baker’s chocolate! Hope your nausea gets better!
Just wondering what you recommend as a perfect night time snack? Nice and fatty in preference of corse!
Sophie,
Yes, they would!
Night time snack – lately for me it’s been ice-cream. But, if you don’t want to go that route, how about some full fat Greek yogurt with a few berries and walnuts or full fat cottage cheese with a spoonful of peanut butter. A smoothie with coconut milk? Or, perhaps some leftover almond flour pancakes topped with a little heavy whipping cream or coconut milk whipped cream? Avocado chocolate pudding? So many possibilities.
2 words…Pop Tarts! Worked like a charm when “food” just did not sound good! Well that and my 2 favorite men…Ben and Jerry
Kim,
I have some in the cabinet. Bought them just in case, but they haven’t sounded good – not like they did the first time around. However, have been going to town on some TJ’s ice-cream with mini pb cups and caramel. It’s divine – major competition for Ben & Jerry.
Those ab cups looks delicious! I drooled over them when I saw mama pea post!
I was snacking in PB Puffins today and thought of you Heather! You introduced me and Matheus to the puffins deliciousness when you were pregnant with Summer. Now every time we buy a box I can’t help but think of you. Are the puffins still around now with the twins pregnancy?!
Ana
Ana,
Ha – too funny b/c I cannot even handle the thought of Puffins during this pregnancy. Since I ate it all the time when I was pregnant with Summer, I went ahead and ordered several boxes of the PB flavor from Amazon as soon as I found out I was pregnant. They are all sitting in our basement unopened. Hoping to get to them some day.
Thinking of you and those growing babies! Take care!
Thanks Monica.
Awesomenomness written all over these! Making these tonight! Hope you’re feeling better soon?! Xoxi
Marty,
And I hope you enjoyed your AB cups!

Pure2Raw,
Oh, I think you’ll love your room. Been working hard to get it all ready for ya!
So glad you have dear friends keeping your tummy and soul stocked with deliciousness and friendship! Alas for the ocean, or I’d be sending a care package of chocolate goodness too. Keep well, mama lady! xoxo
Hannah,
I know. Darn ocean – why is it so large?!?
Hoping and wishing you’ll feel better soon Heather!
Thanks Jasper. Me too.
Those look delicous. I will have to give them a try AFTER Lent! Consider it bookmarked. Hope you start to feel better soon
Thanks Steph…Lent will be over before you know it – only a few more weeks.
