A Photo Gallery For C & K

by HEAB on August 29, 2012

Before the twins arrived, I made picture frames for their room in hopes of creating a photo gallery after Emily shot their newborn photos.  Frames?

Check!  You can read more about them here.

Newborn photos of the twins?

Check!  Thanks again Emily.

All that was left to do was put the framed photos on the wall, but I decided to add a little something more…

You know the those metal letters that are all the rage from Anthropologie?  Rachel made her own, and as soon as I saw her adorable DYI faux metal letters, I knew I had to use her idea somewhere in Charlie and Katie’s room. The project was easy.  I just bought two 12″ cardboard paper mache letters from Jo-Anne’s, and painted them white.  I then used Command picture hanging strips to attach the letters to the wall.  Done.

The finished wall…

It makes me happy.  Nursery #2 is officially complete. 🙂

Thanks Theresa. 🙂

You are amazing

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:26 pm

Thanks Joy. 🙂

Jess @thefitspirit September 1, 2012 at 7:36 am

Amazing! It looks so beautiful! I am amazed at how well you are coping with brand new twins AND a toddler. Seriously when my girls were that age I was barely sleeping, barely getting out of the house and definitely not organised enough to decorate. So Impressed!!!

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:26 pm

Thanks Jess,
This time around I’m accepting all help offered to me. I didn’t do that when Summer was born, and it’s made all the difference. Well that, and A LOT of caffeine. 😉

Jill in Chicago August 31, 2012 at 4:26 pm

Congratulations, Heather! The twins are beautiful and I am (selfishly) happy that you are blogging again 🙂

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:25 pm

Thanks Jill, it’s good to be back. 🙂

I just showed my mama the twins’ photos and told her all about your family 🙂 She agrees–beautiful kiddos!

Love what you’ve done with their nursery <3

My heart just melted seeing the photo of your twins little fingers and toes in this post… and then I clicked on the link for more photos, now it’s a puddle. Such gorgeous babies you have, and well done Emily on capturing incredible moments to be treasured for a lifetime 🙂

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:24 pm

Thank you Christa. 🙂

Amy August 30, 2012 at 7:22 am

Wow, beautiful babies and beautiful pictures. Summer looks just like you! The one of the 3 of them on the bed melted me. 🙂 Congratulations and thanks for sharing!

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:24 pm

Thanks Amy, that photo was one of my favorites from the session as well. 🙂

lena August 30, 2012 at 3:53 am

Oh Heather! They are so beautiful and Emily has grown! She’s getting lovelier with each passing day!!! You and CD are so blessed and must be really proud parents! ((:

Congrats again and thanks again for sharing these precious pictures! (:

Averie @ Averie Cooks August 30, 2012 at 2:45 am

Great job on a DIY project and for getting the nursery set up and done exactly the way you want it and I am sooooo impressed you found the energy to even tackle this one! You go, girl! I mean, mama 🙂

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:27 pm

I live on coffee. I dread the day I become immune to its effects. 😉

Hollie Birckhead August 29, 2012 at 10:59 pm

LOVE your photo gallery post. If only our little ones could be so lucky to have such a beautiful room. 🙂

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:23 pm

I’m trying to enjoy it before I have to remove all the furniture. 😉

Cherie August 29, 2012 at 8:10 pm

Another job well done Heather!

Jennifer August 29, 2012 at 7:40 pm

Oh my goodness! Precious! Precious! Precious!! I do mean the babies and Summer – how big she’s getting! I hope she is adjusting and being a great big sister!

Oh. and yes, your craftiness is super cute, too! ;o)

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:22 pm

Summer is doing really well with the babies. She just kind of accepted that they were here…however, ask me again in 6 months or so when they start playing with her toys. 😉

Marty August 29, 2012 at 7:31 pm

OOOooh, love those babies toes! How you have time for even that, amazing Heather! oxoxo m

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:21 pm

Coffee makes all the difference. Lots of caffeine…lots and lots. 🙂

Colleen Stewart August 29, 2012 at 7:20 pm

Oh my gosh!! Three precious babies! You and CD are so blessed!!

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:20 pm

Thanks Colleen, and yes, totally blessed. 🙂

Michelle @ Eat Move Balance August 29, 2012 at 7:08 pm

You are so crafty and adorable!!! I love it. I wish I had the patience for stuff like that–the product (and how beautiful they look) is so worth it!

Holly August 29, 2012 at 6:47 pm

Wow! I can’t believe how beautiful everything looks — most especially the kiddos! I used to think Summer looked so much like CD, but the older she gets, the more she looks just like you! The twins are adorable and you are right, Charlie looks just like CD! Congrats — I am so happy for you all!

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:20 pm

Thanks Holly. 🙂

Maryea {Happy Healthy Mama} August 29, 2012 at 6:32 pm

Super cute! Your such a crafty mama these days, Heather. I love it.

Maryea {Happy Healthy Mama} August 29, 2012 at 6:33 pm

UGH. Seriously?! *You’re* such a craft mama. Maybe I shouldn’t drink a glass of wine the moment I put baby to bed. 😉

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:20 pm

Nah, don’t give up the wine. 😉

Mandy August 29, 2012 at 5:41 pm

Beautiful photos, and beautiful nursery! You’re such a devoted mother, your family is blessed.

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:27 pm

Thank you Mandy, and yes, very blessed. 🙂

Jennifer August 29, 2012 at 5:39 pm

Heather, your little ones are so precious. 🙂 I love their little crochet diaper covers and Summer gets
more adorable all the time. She so totally has your eyes. Emily does such beautiful work. Thanks for sharing
it with us. And having the time/energy to craft with 3 little ones so close in age…you’re really rocking the whole “Mom” thing. 🙂

HEAB September 4, 2012 at 9:18 pm

Thanks Jennifer,
The diaper covers are from Etsy – I loved them too, and yes, Emily does do beautiful work. So grateful for her photos of our family. 🙂
