Hello my almond butter loving friends. If you're new to HEAB, you may like to subscribe to my RSS feed or receive my posts via email. Thanks for reading!
She turned two today, and we celebrated deep in the Hundred Acre Wood…
After last year’s Hungry Caterpillar extravaganza, we decided to keep things simple with a small Winnie-the-Pooh party. So, our families and a couple of friends joined us for the festivities. It was perfect.
Hunny pot party favors: Each guest received a pot with a muslin bag stuffed with honey sticks, Burt’s Bees honey lip balm, and Justin’s honey almond butter (It was actually maple almond butter since the shipment of honey packets I ordered didn’t arrive in time. Close enough, right?)
I made these sour cream yellow cupcakes with Pamela’s gluten free baking mix and added chocolate chips. Half received a dusting of dark chocolate and powdered sugar, and I topped the rest with this cream cheese frosting.
Before cupcakes we snacked on chips + guac, goat cheese & cream cheese dips, and a bowl of PBee & Chocolate Trail Mix (Honeycomb cereal + Reese’s Pieces + cocoa almonds).
Happy Birthday to our baby girl. We love you!

What a gorgeous party, Heather, where did you find the time (and energy!) to do all this!? Super Mama!
Lou,
I know! Happy (early) Birthday to Misty! Isn’t this age so fun? Summer’s vocabulary is exploding, and she makes us laugh all the time. LOVE this stage.
I started early on her party – made the party favors a couple of weeks ago and since we only invited family and a couple of friends, set up was easy. It was such a fun night.
I love it! The whole party theme is wonderful. Great job, Heather! I’m sure she loved it too.
Happy birthday to Summer!
Thanks J3nn.
Heather it feels like just yesterday you were pregnant with her and we were exchanging pregnancy and nursing emails. Wow…time just flies! What an adorable party and event for her. Good job, mom

Amy,
Me too. This past year just flew by, and before we know it, they’ll be turning three. Sometimes I really wish time would slow down. This is such a fun age. You always hear about the “terrible twos”, but Summer cracks us up everyday. I love this stage.

Happy Birthday Summer! My how time flies. Decorations are so cute, Heather. Hugs… Miss you.
Thanks Cherie! Been thinking about you – miss you too and Happy Anniversary. One year, huh? Time certainly does fly.
Happy Birthday Summer from one Pooh fan to another (our niece Joy loves Pooh!)
Thanks Michelle and Lori. Pooh is well loved around here.
Just plain adorable! And who drew that perfect picture of piglet and pooh? Happy birthday Summer!
Thanks Alisa. I drew the picture the night before Summer’s birthday. It was late, and I googled Pooh images on my phone. Too lazy to draw it first with a pencil, and just went for the black crayon. Glad it turned out okay, and I loved Summer’s added touch – I always thought Pooh needed a little purple in his life.
Happy birthday, Summer! I love Winnie-the-Pooh. He was the theme of my room when I was little
I was never a fan of the Disney Pooh…the A.A. Milne, original Pooh is just so much better. My mom used to say I was Roo, and my sister was Rabbit. Lol!
Jules, thank you, and I agree. Loved A.A. Milne’s version. Such a classic.
Wow, time has passed so quickly. I can’t believe it. Congratulations to the family and happy birthday to your sweet girl. What a party !
Thanks Anita.

Happy birthday to Summer! How can she be two already? Love the Pooh theme. I remember reading the books to my son when he was young.
P.S. Think I’m gonna steal your hunny pot gift idea. Those are adorable.
Hugs to all,
Cinthia,
I have no idea – she was just born like yesterday! Oh, and steal away – I think the hunny pots would make great gifts. Our party guest really liked them.
Looks like such a wonderful, fun birthday!!!

Thanks Hayley – big Pooh fans around here.
Ahhhh… I LOVE it! I’ve loved Winnie the Pooh since, well, probably around the age of two, as well! My bedroom as a toddler was all Pooh Bear, and my grandpa still calls me Pooh Bear! So happy to see Pooh is still a big deal. This was such a cute party. I’m dying over those “Hunny” pots! Adorable! Happy birthday, Summer!
Rachel,
Pooh is such a classic – hope he’s always a big deal.
I can’t believe Summer is two – and a big sister to boot! Happy Birthday Ms Summer! What a wonderful theme – love, love Pooh, what wonderful decorations, love the pots! xox m
