A Paletas Party

by HEAB on June 17, 2014

Can you believe they are two?!?

Photo from here and text added using this app on my phone.

We used the above photo for an Evite invitation.  I also printed an 8 x 8 photo of the same image at Costco for a party banner and used Mod Podge to attach it to a piece of cardboard…

We threw a little afternoon backyard popsicle party in honor of the occasion…

Birthday message courtesy of our fence + sidewalk chalk.

Cheese take-and-bake pizzas from Costco (so good!), strawberries & blueberries, chips + salsa + the best guac

Sunflower seed butter & jelly sandwich rounds (I cut them with biscuit cutters) and carrot sticks…

In lieu of a birthday cake, we served mini popsicles from Las Paletas, a gourmet popsicle shop and one of the best places for a sweet treat in all of Nashville.

For party favors, we made popsicle holders out of silicone cupcake molds

And just like that, we now have two two-year olds.  Happy Birthday Charlie and Katie.  Love you!!!

Whoo hoo the HEAB is back. We’ve missed you. (But so happy you’re getting lots of time with all your little ones :))

Now I want a Popsicle. Gosh. I clicked the link and am loving this farm to Popsicle philosophy. If only they could open a shop in Louisiana…

Hi Brittany,
Las Paletas is so good and very popular here in Nashville. I’ll let them know they should franchise to Louisiana. 😉

Thanks for missing me. I’ve missed y’all!

I really can’t believe they’re two! Can you believe my twins just turned 15? 15?!

Looks like a really cute and fun party as usual!

So great to hear from you, Heather! Hope you all are having a great summer.

I bet it feels like just yesterday that yours were two. I smelled a little baby today and almost started crying thinking about how fast mine are growing. They are already looking so big & old. Wish I could just bottle them up and keep them little forever. They are just so sweet…most of the time. 😉 And thank you, it was a really sweet party.

Happy Birthday to Charlie and Katie! My how time flies!
I love it! I think I want to recreate the sidewalk chalk on the fence idea!
It’s so funny that you happened to post today – I just made homemade almond butter for the first time (following you guide) and I was thinking about how much I missed your posts.
Glad to see that all is well!

HEAB June 18, 2014 at 1:42 pm

Thanks Megan, and I hope you enjoyed your almond butter. 🙂
