Nuttzo Nut Butter Giveaway

When one of my readers (Hey Jen!) emailed me about Nuttzo, I knew I must try it, and company founder, Danielle, was kind enough to send me some samples. After adopting two boys from the Ukraine who were vitamin deficient, Danielle decided to create her own nutrient dense nut butter. Nuttzo contains 7 organic nuts and seeds, providing the body with protein, minerals, and Omega-3 fatty acids. Good job Danielle. 
How does it taste you ask?
Flaxy - just look at all those little seeds.
As soon as my Nuttzo samples arrived, I dolloped a big spoonful on top of a new grain (more about that in a later post). Check out the nutrition info:
The taste is not sweet at all which I liked, and it definitely has a strong flax flavor. Nuttzo contains both ground and whole flax seeds. The whole gives it more flavor and fiber, but grinding the flax seeds makes it easier for your body to absorb the omega 3s. According to the company, as long as the shell of the whole is chewed you do get omega 3s from that as well.
I’m guessing Nuttzo is made up mostly of peanuts and flax seeds based on the taste and the amount of ALA Omega-3′s it provides per serving. Let’s just say I haven’t hit any huge almond or Brazil Nut chunks in my jar yet. However, still yummy.

My favorite nut is probably macadamia nuts but I mostly eat cashews (to make “cheese” and almonds.

My favorite nut is the hazelnut! I love it toasted and shells peeled. It has the best aroma and flavor. It goes great with chocolate which is another favorite item I like to enjoy.
Hi HEAB. I generally regulate myself to occasional blog reader/non-commenter, but I could not pass up this opportunity. I’m a fan of all nuts – my hubby and I go through copious amounts of mixed nuts. But I suppose if I had to choose one and only for life it’d be those precious little almonds. Almond milk, almond butter, roasted almonds, slivered almonds. I think they are the most versatile AND the most delicious. Although Brazil nuts come in a close second, with raw cashews right there, too…. And pecans, I do like pecans. And dang, macadamia nuts are nice. See, here is the problem. I like em’ all!

my favorite nut is the cashew. love it raw, roasted, salted, as butter, or soaked and as a cream or milk. there’s just so many things you can do with it. it always seems like a treat to me when compared to other nuts!

My favorite nuts are definitely almonds. They go well in sweet or savory dishes, and are really great eaten just plain and raw, or made into nut butter.
Favorite? That’s hard, seeing as my grandpa opened “The Nut Bar” back when my mom was a kid, so I grew up eating them all (for free)! It used to be cashews and pistachios, but now I think I would have to go with the almond.
I love almond butter and anything almond flavored (although I haven’t tried to make my own cashew butter yet, so that might be delightful as well.)
Anyway, great giveaway! I’m a huge flax fan, so I’m intrigued…
Macademia nuts are my fave but I hardly ever eat them. I much prefer my nuts in butter form!
Growing up was always peanuts, but the top spot now goes to almonds, if only for almond butter alone

Wow, this stuff looks interesting! My favorite nut is the pistachio, but they are pretty expensive (compared to other nuts) so I don’t eat them a lot. Second favorite, and most accessible, is the almond. I prefer to eat it in the form of almond butter or almond milk. Yum!
That’s a neat product idea! I would say my favorite nuts are Cashew and Walnuts… at least this morning they are!

I can’t decide between cashews and macadamias. But when it comes to nut butters it will always be peanut or almond butter. Ok, I love sunflower seed butter too…
My favorite nut is almond. This was hard to decide because cashew butter is bomb and walnuts have outstanding omega-3′s. But the almond tastes great raw, roasted, mixed into a butter, in trail mix and has great protein, fat, fiber and carbs. Maranatha is awesome!
I LOVE cashews! They are so delicious! I love how hearty and smooth they are! Plus, they have more protein than any other nut!
Almonds come in a close second
I love raw almonds and cashews. Both are fabulous in nut and nut butter form.
I’d love to give this stuff a try, it’s such a great idea. The jars are interesting too, with the upside down label. That’s how I store all my nut butters that require mixing until I’m ready to open them.

I can’t get away from plain ol’ peanuts. So tasty…perfect in their natural saltiness and so satisfying with bananas, apples, preserves, oatmeal, toast…anything!
I have to say my favorite nut is…..all nuts?! I can’t pick! I’ve gone through phases of eating all of them, and boy was my macadamia nut kick a doozy. Now I’m into walnuts. But I never forget the peanuts! I’d LOVE to try this butter.

This looks absolutely incredible. It’d be ideal for me – as I can’t have too much of one single type of nut because of my low intolerance.
Anyhow, my favorite nut is definitely the cashew. It’s so, so, so versatile (love all of Choosing Raw’s recipes!) and mild, and plus, it’s the one nut I’m not intolerant too!
I absolutely love sliced almonds. I like whole ones too but I put slices almonds on (and in) everything. So yummy.

This is really hard, but I think I’d have to say cashews in whole form. They are so buttery and sinful tasting. In butter form, sunflower seed is hands down my favorite. I have to hide the TJ’s sunflower seed butter or else my spoon will be in that jar every time I open up the pantry!

My favorite nut has to be the cashew. I love them so much I named my fledgling blog after them. In Costa Rica a few years ago I actually got to check out the cashew tree in its natural habitat, which was totally awesome. Cashews are seriously like crack to me- My husband’s coworker buys him giant tubs from Costco and I have to make him hide them from me. Crack!
I’m a lover of the good ol’ peanut. Couldn’t have peanut butter without it!
I love almonds – but my MOST favorite almond is Blue Diamond Salt ‘n Vinegar almonds. Ohmigosh they are to die for!
Oh my gosh – I used to love salt ‘n vinegar chips, and I did not know Blue Diamond made this flavor combo with almonds. I MUST TRY THIS.

I love love love peanuts… Boiled, roasted, butter,etc. I went to a friend’s house one night for din din. Everything had cheese on it( she totally forgot I’m lactose intolerant). Hehe… They had a huge jar of roasted peanuts and I ate like half the jar. I got so sick:-) they were so good! Of course, I have to have boiled peanuts at baseball games.( yes, I eat waaaay too many of those, too.)cc

This may sound weird, but I actually don’t like nuts on their own but I love nut butter. I eat a ton of it to get the health benefits of nuts though…and because it is so good!

But seriously. It depends on how they are prepared, doesn’t it? Almond makes the best butter. Cashews have the perfect soft crunch to them. Walnuts are AMAZING in soy yogurt and cinnamon. Macadamia are so creamy and rich, espesh in trail mix with some dried apricots.

My favorite nuts are probably pecans. My parents have a lot of pecan trees in their yard so, while pecans could be my favorite based on deliciousness alone, they also have the added benefit of reminding me of home.

I really have 3 favs’ almonds, peanuts and pistachios.
I don’t know if I can pick a favorite nut! I’d probably go with almonds, because they are the most “versatile” (I enjoy almond butter, milk, and just plain old seeds), but I really can’t think of a nut I don’t like… other than the macadamia.

Cashews are my favorite, but I probably eat almonds the most!

I have yet to meet a nut that I do not like. My loyalty, however, lies with the almonds.
It’s hard to say I have one favorite nut. Cashews – yum…they are so buttery and lovely.
Almonds – remind me of my Grandpa who passed in 1987…we used to eat roasted almonds together all the time, you know when they used to come in a tin can?
Pistachios – my brother and I can tear through a bag of these in no time. And the red ones are more fun to eat because you get pink lips!
And of course, the every day peanut…I cannot go a day with out my natural peanut butter.
I guess every nut has a story…
My favorite nut would have to be cashews! Mmm, so good! But I really like all kinds. Walnuts and pecans are other favorites!

Cashews are by FAR my favorite. If you take several at once and chew them long enough, they taste just like cookies! Only better for you though. I am known to eat an entire 16 oz bag of cashews in one sitting (which is about 15-20 minutes) and even after I want MORE! LOL
My favorite nut is my husband, Shon!
But I also love cashews, although I get extremely bloated after eating just one handful.

I can’t really eat a lot of whole nuts but my favorite nut butters have to be almond butter, and almond cashew butter. I’ve also recently tried sunflower seed butter on a whim and I have to say it is -quite- delicious. Especially dipped in crisp green apples.

I have to say that I’m a big fan of all nuts, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be almonds. They’re so versatile. You can eat them raw, roasted, sliced in a salad, in a dessert, and of course my favorite almond butter.

My favourite nut? You mean I have to pick just ONE? I love and devour them all (ok, maybe not something I should be so proud of). Actually that’s not true, I could do without chestnuts, hazelnuts and macadamia nuts. I am known for my love of nuts! But if for some reason, nuts were scarce and I could only have one type of nut… it would be my one and only true love…ALMONDS! French fries, pizza, chocolate, ice cream- they don’t stand a chance next to almonds, almond butter, almond meal, slivered almonds, etc. Coat them in chocolate and I’m yours forever.

If I had to pick just one nut it would have to be cashews…they are so versatile…yummy roasted, and even more yummy raw!!! They work amazingly well with cooked and raw recipes…my favorite one being raw cheese sauce since my daughter has dairy allergies! ew la la, don’t get me started on food!!!
I was MIA from the blog-world yesterday, and, while I haven’t actually had a chance to read through all 254 responses, I would guess that every nut known to humans has already been covered. I would say that almonds are probably my favorite, simply do to a never-ending love for almond butter, but I’ve also always held a sweet spot for hazelnuts. Yum!
I would have to go with brazil nuts, when eating alone… but for nut butter I’d have to say slmond or cashew! But hazelnut is pretty deluxe as well….

Mmmm tough call on the fave nut, would proabably have to say:
- Cashews for snacking
- Almonds in oats or in a trail mix with raisins etc.
- Pecans in granola with maple and dates
- Hazelnuts in chocolatey stuff …….
- Oh don’t forget walnuts in muffins and on salads!

Definitely almonds…cashews and walnuts are up there, too – but almonds are so versatile and taste great with just about everything. I throw them on my salads, in oatmeal, bake them in granola…eat them plain as snacks…which reminds me, I’m almost out of them!!!

Favorite Nut….would have to be cashew…but I rarely can turn down any type I’m offered. My son has a severe nut allergy (it is JUST WRONG!) and my husband and I have to eat them in hiding

My favorite nut is a little guy called Macademia. I can snack on macademias all day but I prefer to save them for Christmastime because they evoke memories of home for me! So.Flippin.Good.
My favorite nut is the cashew. Cashews are diverse enough to blend up creamily into a vegan cheese and yet are still delicious out of hand (try them straight from the freezer…that’s the best). My mom used to make homemade cashew butter from scratch starting about 30 years ago when my brother was diagnosed with what was then an extremely rare and deathly peanut allergy WAY before the current influx we know today.

hmm i would have to say its a tie between almonds–i love them. i carry a small bag around with me of them raw. i also enjoy the fact that you can make so many things with them–but straight up raw is how i eat them most. my other one would be chestnuts roasted so they are warm and mealy. we used to buy them at the christmas markets in vienna and they were oh so good!

Skinny Plate, I’ve never seen a pistachio butter, but I made my own from salted pistachio kernals. It was green and way too salty. Next time, I’ll go no salt. Did love the color.

My favorite nut is the hazelnut. I love anything hazelnut flavored, I love hazelnut with chocolate, and I love eating them roasted in my morning muesli. Yum! Too bad the only hazelnut spread I’ve found so far is Nutella…not quite healthy enough for daily eats.
